2019 MONSTER ENERGY CUP SUPERCROSS AMATEUR ALL-STARS 250 FUTURES AND SUPERMINI FUTURES RESULTS

One of the coolest parts about the Monster Cup is that the fans are able to get a sneak peak at the up and coming Supercross stars of tomorrow and the young guns get a chance to race under the lights on a hybrid style Supercross track in front of thousands of people. The 250 Futures class, previously called the Amateur All-Stars consists of A level amateur riders who are usually on the brink of making their Pro debut. These riders excelled at Amateur events like the Loretta Lynn’s and the Freestone Spring National to show that they are worthy of being invited to this prestigious event. In the same manner, the Supermini riders who are invited are the top of their class riding on 85cc bikes that have been bored out to 112cc rockets with a longer swing arm and bigger wheels.

AMATEUR ALL-STARS RACE ONE RESULTS

Jett Lawrence_Fox Raceway Pro Practice 6-10-19-28Jett Lawrence finished first in 250 Futures race one.

Geico Honda amateur rider Jett Lawrence grabbed the early lead, but it was Ryder Floyd who made a quick and aggressive move passed Jett in the second turn. Ryder appeared to be faster in the motocross style sections of the track, but when it came to the rhythm sections Jett Lawrence obviously had more experience being a factory rider and having easy access to Supercross tracks. Jett was able to triple in the rhythm section after the start and it allowed him to pull away and take the win. Ryder Floyd ended up sliding out and crashing.
