2011 MOTOCROSS DES NATIONS TO BE HELD ONE WEEK EARLIER, WHICH MEANS SEVEN DAYS AFTER THE LAST NATIONAL

A new date for the 2011 MXDN was announced. Instead of September 24-25, 2011, it will be held on September 17-18, 2011. With the final AMA National on September 10 it will be very hard for Team USA to get their bikes to Europe (equipped for the FIM fuel and sound limits). The GP riders also only have one week, but they just have to drive from Italy to St. Jean D’Angley, France.

Why the change? Word is that a World Endurance road race was scheduled on the originally proposed weekend at LeMans. To avoid holding two high-profile FIM events only 100 miles apart on the same weekend?the MXDN was moved forward one week.
