2018 AMA OUTDOOR NATIONAL PREP AT GLEN HELEN
Josh Grant was looking very smooth.
These days, you can head to any local track in SoCal to find a plethora of pro’s in preparation for the 2018 AMA outdoor Nationals. On this particular Thursday we saw quite a few familiar faces, as well as some new ones. In fact, this coming Thursday, May 17, Glen Helen will clear the track from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon to allow only AMA Pro riders, who are entered in the Hangtown or Glen Helen National to get their first look at the complete Glen Helen National track. It will be a shakedown for the track and for the riders. So, if you want to see hot action come to Glen Helen to watch this Thursday. Here’s a teaser of what we saw last Thursday.
Broc Tickle has been keeping his skills sharp while waiting for the word from WADA.
Australian Todd Waters was doing some testing of his own in preparation for his new gig in the MXGP. Unfortunately, Todd went to Europe and broke his collarbone before his Team Honda fill-in gig ever happened.
Justin Barcia is never shy to throw his bike around. Especially mid-air.
Our friends at 51Fifty were also in attendance. This is Kyle Chisholm’s 51Fifty YZ250F.
Remember the name Dillan Schwartz. He is a fast amateur kid coming through the ranks.
Alex Martin is riding again! And he looked strong after his long Supercross hiatus.
Josh Grant was rehabbing both of his ankles by riding as fast as he could.
Chris Howell gave Glen Helen’s new rolling whoop section a test run.
Broc Tickle is still keeping up with his training and riding. However, after Broc’s B-sample came back positive from WADA, KTM terminated his contract for 2018.
Ivan Tedesco is living up his retirement from racing, and loving being a test rider for the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team.
Justin Barcia might be one to keep an eye on this summer.
