2018 HONDA HRC TEAM INTRO | GALLERY

Today, MXA was invited to the Factory Honda Supercross test track in Corona, California, to have a look at the Factory HRC and Geico Honda teams for 2018. The weather was smooth and cool, and track conditions were prime for the stars of Honda Racing to throw down some laps for our cameras.

To start off the morning, we were treated by Honda HRC and Geico Honda’s 2018 racing machines.

Pro Taper’s “Race Spec” (RS) aluminum rear sprocket.

Candy red shock springs on the Geico Honda CRF250’s.

Geico Honda’s “West Coast” picks for 2018, Chase Sexton (#40) and Christian Craig (32), and a very amused East Coast candidate RJ Hampshire (#36) in the background.

Now, on to the 450’s. Fact: The HRC Team has spent the past few weeks testing suspension. Above, you can see which rider picked what. Cole Seely on KYB and Ken Roczen on Showa components.

Factory Honda power.

It’s all about the details.

HRC mechanics Lars Lindstrom (right) and Oscar Wirdeman (middle), and a photobombing Simon Cudby in the background.

As the meeting and greeting winded down, the HRC boys geared up and were the first to hit the track. Cole Seely was not afraid to grab a handful of throttle in the slick turns.

Ken Roczen decided to take the famous “low line.”

Jeremy Martin led the Geico Honda squad out for their 20-minute session.

RJ Hampshire hitting that perfect lighting. The #36 was looking strong today!

Cameron McAdoo was also turning heads at the intro.

Christian Craig is a force to be reckoned with in 2018.

Of all the athletes in attendance, Ken Roczen was the one everybody had their eyes on. We think this coming year will be a great year for the #94. Look for a video interview with Ken coming soon.
