What a race here in Red Bud. We have a new points leader in the 450 class!
This is the first round this year that there is a new points leader in the 450 class. At the beginning of the series Eli Tomac was dominating. As the races went on the competition started to reel him in.
The first moto in Red Bud was devastating for the Kawasaki crew as Eli was in the lead with only there laps to go when the factory KX450F experienced a mechanic issue taking him out of the race. The second moto, Eli came around the first lap in 18th while Marvin had the lead. Eli caught up to ninth and Marvin lead start to finish to take the overall and the points lead.

Marvin Musquin is your new 450 series points leader!
Eli Tomac had a tough day in Red Bud. In the first moto he had a mechanical issue and did not finish. The second moto he suffered a bad start.
Yamaha’s Justin Barcia finished third.

Ken Roczen gets his first moto win of the season in Red Bud.
The first moto in the 450 class in Red Bud shock things up. Eli Tomac had a mechanical failure scoring no points. That let Marvin Musquin to close the championship points gap to a small ten point gap by finishing second to Ken Roczen. Kenny got his first moto win of the season on his Factory Honda CRF450.

Blake Baggett is on the pole in Red Bud.
The seventh round of the 2018 Lucus Oil AMA Pro Motocross Nationals is held at the Red Bud track in Michigan. Riders bikes are dressed in red, white and blue to honor America and its independence. The 450 riders got their best lap times in the first qualifying session. Blake Baggett laid down the fastest lap in his first qualifying session to get the overall pole with a 2:02.411 lap time. Marvin Musquin had the fastest lap in the second session with a 2:04.731, but the track was already getting beat up and riders weren’t going as fast.
