AMA OUTDOOR NATIONAL MOTOCROSS POINT STANDINGS
Eli Tomac’s 3-2 moto scores were good enough to win the overall at High Point.
450 NATIONAL MOTOCROSS POINTS STANDING (ROUND 4 OF 12)
The 2019 AMA National Motocross Championship has been very exciting so far. Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac have made it clear that they are the riders to beat in the 450 classes. Heading into round four of the Pro Motocross season, Ken Roczen had a two point lead over Eli Tomac and the tensions were high. In the first Moto Ken Roczen struggled, he made some changes to his bike heading into the race that didn’t agree with him. He finished sixth while his championship rival Eli Tomac passed through the pack to finish third. Blake Baggett was able to win his first Moto since racing at the same High Point Raceway two years prior and Jason Anderson grabbed a second in the Moto. Moto 2 was another story, the HRC Honda team changed Ken’s settings back to what he used at Thunder Valley and it worked well for him. He passed his way to the front to win, while Eli Tomac started off slower, but he eventually found his speed and also passed his way up to finish second. Eli’s 3-2 scores were good enough to beat Roczen’s 6-1 for the overall and it allowed Eli to gain two points in the Championship standings. Now the two riders are tied in points going into round 5 at the WW Ranch in Florida.

250 NATIONAL MOTOCROSS POINTS STANDING (ROUND 4 OF 12)
Adam Cianciarulo made it four in a row at High Point.
Coming into round four, Justin Cooper had won every first Moto and Adam Cianciarulo had won every second Moto. The title chase was close and there were only six point separating the two riders. But unfortunately for Justin Cooper and his Star Yamaha team, the High Point National results would drop Justin down to now 26 points behind Adam. Justin started near the front in the first Moto but he wasn’t able to keep the pace and stay at the front. In the second Moto Justin started in 13th and would only make it to 9th place before crossing the finish line. Justin Cooper’s 6-9 moto scores would earn him 9th overall on the day.
