2020 ARLINGTON (DALLAS) SUPERCROSS 250 RACE RESULTS

The 8th round of the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross season was held in Arlington (Dallas), Texas inside AT&T stadium. This round is a Triple Crown Event, meaning there will be three separate main event that are less laps. Arlington will be the second round of the 250 East Coast season. Here is how the race went down in the 250 class.

Triple Crown format breakdown:

The top 18 from the overall fastest qualifying times during the day will advance straight to the main event. There will then be an LCQ that add four more riders for a total of 22 racers in the main event. During the night show, there won’t be any heat races or LCQ’s but each class will have three main events. The 250SX class will compete in three 10-minute main events, while the 450SX class will compete in three 12-minute main events. An Olympic-style scoring method will be used to determine an overall winner in each class from all three main events where the lowest combined score at the end will be awarded the overall win.

250 MAIN EVENT 3 RESULTS 

McElrath wins the third main event. 

Shane McElrath got the start with Sexton second and Hampshire third. Martin sat four with Marchbanks fifth. Riders have been falling like flies tonight. Shane might have got the third 250 main event win, but Chase Sexton wins the overall with by going 2-1-2 on the night.

250 MAIN EVENT 2 RESULTS

Chase Sexton won the second 250 main event of the night.   

It was Josh Hill who took the holeshot, but Chase Sexton got by him in the long whoops section. Joey Crown sat third with Dustin Winter’s forth. Joey Crown made the pass on Hill for second. On the forth lap Hill let Shane Mcelrath by as well as Marchbanks and Jeremy Martin. All the while Sexton had a 7 second lead over Joey Crown on lap six. Martin moved into forth as he passed Marchbanks with four minutes and a lap to go. Martin moved passed Crown for third place on the ninth lap. Sexton toke the second 250 main event win with McElrath second, Martin third, Marchbanks forth and Joey Crown fifth.

250 MAIN EVENT 1

RJ Hampshire takes the first 250 SX win. 

Rj Hampshire got out to an early lead in the first 250 main event. Chase Sexton sat second with Jordan Smith third, Jeremy Martin forth and Shane McElrath fifth. On lap six Chase Sexton passed Hampshire, but Hampshire took Sexton out to get back in the lead putting Jordan Smith into third. Shane McElrath set the best time in the main and got into the mix, but Sexton was hot on his tail. McElrath pushed Smith off the track after the whoops for second on lap 13. Then shortly after Sexton moved passed McElrath. Hampshire won the main by three second with Sexton and McElrath rounding the top three.
