2020 DAYTONA SUPERCROSS 250 OVERALL RESULTS
The 2020 AMA Monster Energy Supercross series is heating up. Daytona SX is round four for the 250 East Coast riders. The hot East Coast 250 riders so far this year are Shane McElrath, Chase Sexton, Rj Hampshire and Jeremy Martin. Sexton has the points lead coming into Daytona by five points over McElrath. It was Jeremy Martin who earlier in the day set the fastest lap in the 250 class with a 1:10.738. McElrath and Sexton were not far off. History shows that Martin would be the favorite to win in Daytona as he has done well here in the past, but McElrath is looking to get the red plate back from Sexton. Here is how the night in Daytona shook down int he 250 class.
250 MAIN EVENT OVERALL RACE RESULTS
Off the start, it was Garrett Marchbanks who got the holeshot with his teammate Jordon Smith in tow. After a few corners, Shane McElrath leaned on Jordon Smith taking both of them out on the first lap. On the second lap Marchbanks had a two-second lead over Chase Sexton. Rj Hampshire was third, Enzo Lopes fourth and Jeremy Martin fifth with McElrath making his way up to sixth. By the halfway point Marchbanks still had over two-second lead over Sexton. McElrath couldn’t make up much time in fifth behind Martin. In the closing laps, Sexton closed within a second of Marchbanks. All the while Rj Hampshire make a mistake and lost a position to Martin. Garrett Marchbank’s held off Sexton for his first 250 Supercross overall in Daytona.
250 HEAT 1 RESULTS
In the first corner, there was a big pileup with Shane McElrath sneaking into the inside to gain the holeshot with Jordon Smith in second and Jordan Bailey in third. By lap four, McElrath pulled over seven seconds on second-places Jordan Smith. Shane took the 250 heat race win by well over 10 seconds. Jordon Smith, Jordan Bailey, Jo Shimoda and Carter Halpain rounded the top five.

HEAT 2 RACE RESULTS
Jeremy Martin got the holeshot in the second 250 heat race. On the first lap there was a bad crash in the whoops with more than five riders going down. All the while, Garrett Marchbanks got into the lead and took it away.
