GLENDALE SUPERCROSS FACES OF THE STARS
The 2020 Monster Energy Supercross season is in Glendale, Arizona for round four of the Championship. The Glendale Supercross is shaping up to be an exciting one. Not only have we had a new winner in each class at the first three rounds, but we also had some major drama between Dylan Ferrandis and Christian Craig last weekend after Dylan took out Christian in the Main Event. A lot of people have weighed in their opinion on it (as did MXA) but now we’re just excited to move forward and watch some good racing. At every Supercross the riders have chance to walk the track in the morning, and then they’re supposed to stick around for a mandatory riders meeting afterwards to discuss the rules, game plan for who will be making an appearance in the opening ceremonies and so on. Although it’s called a “riders meeting” the riders don’t actually have to meet each other (weird right?). Most of the guys are friendly, but others like to ignore their competitors. Today we caught a photo of Dylan Ferrandis and Christian Craig sharing a few words during track walk. We have no idea what was said, but judging on their facial expressions, we don’t have to worry about a fist fight tonight.
Dylan Ferrandis and Christian Craig chat about their run-in at Anaheim 2. Judging by their facial expressions the situation wasn’t too hostile. Hopefully we’ll have some more good racing tonight, only without the drama.
Adam Cianciarulo and his trainer Nick Wey seem like they have a lot of fun working together. We’re excited to see how Adam Cianciarulo does tonight in Glendale.
Honda HRC rider, Justin Brayton checks out the whoops. As you can tell by his shoes, they watered the track quite a bit this morning in hopes to keep good moisture and traction in the dirt all day.
Brandon Hartranft has to be stoked with his season so far. We’re three races in and he has two podiums in a row. The factory Troy Lee Designs Red Bull KTM rider seems to be gelling well with the KTM 250 team.
Christian Craig is all smiles.
Mitchell Oldenburg has been going fast on his Penrite Honda CRF250. The Australian Penrite Honda team has had a great showing in their first year of American Supercross with both Mitchell and Australian rider, Luke Clout finishing in the top ten last weekend.
Justin Cooper, Aaron Plessinger and Malcolm Stewart all train together in Southern California with Gareth Swanepoel.
Did someone fart?
Ricky Carmichael and his former trainer, Aldon Baker share a few words during track walk.
Alex Martin was quick at Anaheim 2, but a last lap crash dropped him from fourth to fifth in the main.
Malcolm Stewart and his Dad “Big James.”
JMC Husqvarna rider, Martin Castelo does the “deep thought” pose.
JGR Suzuki team manager Jeremy Albrecht checks out the whoops.
