2020 INDIANAPOLIS SUPERCROSS IS CANCELED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS
Just a short two hours after the 2020 Indianapolis was canceled, we now find on the Detroit, Michigan, Ford Field website that round fourteen of the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross season has been canceled as well. The race was scheduled to happen on March 21st and now the Ford Field website is directing spectators to customer service to have their tickets refunded. Via FordField.com: “In accordance with the restrictions on travel and group gatherings amid COVID-19 concerns, the Monster Energy AMA Supercross scheduled on March 21, 2020 at Ford Field in Detroit has been cancelled.”
“Refunds through Ticketmaster will automatically be refunded to your credit card. For additional information, contact customer support at www.ticketmaster.com/customerservice. For event purchases made with a credit card directly from the Ford Field Box Office, all purchases will automatically be refunded to your credit card used at time of purchase. Indianapolis Supercross FELD Entertainment Press Release: In accordance with the restrictions on travel and group gatherings amid COVID-19 (Coronavirus) concerns, Monster Energy Supercross scheduled on March 14, 2020 at Lucas Oil Stadium in has been cancelled.
- All tickets purchased on Ticketmaster.com will automatically be refunded back to the purchaser’s original form of payment.
- All other tickets that were purchased at ticket outlets, dealers, box office or via phone can be refunded at the original point of purchase.
Dean Wilson reported on his Instragam today that the Indy Supercross this weekend has been canceled. This came after the governor of Indiana prohibited events of 250 people or more people to go on in his state. Read below.
The tweet below was from the governor of Indiana confirming that Supercross will have to cancel since the number of people needed to operate the race isn’t small and would be close to 250 people when you include riders, mechanics, team managers, TV reporters, TV cameramen, media, AMA officials, flaggers, track workers and so on.
