MAIN EVENT RESULTS
The 250 West Coast riders have had a long 4-month break, but they’re back racing today at the 2020 Salt Lake City Supercross Round 14. Justin Cooper was the fastest rider in 250 West qualifying today, his teammate Dylan Ferrandis was second with 250 rookie Jett Lawrence in third. Jett is back from his collarbone injury at Anaheim 2 and his older brother, Hunter Lawrence is also joining the field for his first ever Supercross race today and he’ll be joining his brother under the Geico Honda tent. Austin Forkner and Hunter Lawrence also got into it in the qualifying practice today, you can see the video on our facebook page by clicking here.
250 MAIN EVENT RESULTS
Justin Cooper grabbed the holeshot, but once again the pass for the lead was able to be made in turn two after the start. Austin Forkner took the lead and started to pull away, meanwhile, Cameron McAdoo got around Justin Cooper for second and Dylan Ferrandis quickly took over third from his teammate. Michael Mosiman was in the seven spot and he made an aggressive move to get by Alex Martin for sixth. Jett Lawrence was running fifth, but the whoops were getting tougher and tougher each lap and finally Jett went down in the whoops with just over five-minutes left in the race. Ferrandis was four seconds behind Forker with five left as well. Dylan pushed hard, but he wasn’t able to get close enough to Forkner and he had to settle for second.
250 LCQ RESULTS
Hunter Lawrence crashed in the LCQ and this put him in the LCQ with Killian Auberson, Mitchell Falk and more. Lawrence grabbed the holeshot, but Killian Auberson dived up the inside and passed him in turn two. Killian Auberson from Switzerland then was passed by Hunter in the whoop section on the first lap. Auberson slid to second with Mitchell Falk third on his BWR Honda and Cheyenne Harmon was in the final transfer position early. Geran Stapleton, another Australian rider like the Lawrence brothers, was in sixth place pressuring Camporese for fifth but the two riders connected right before the lip of the finish line and Stapleton ended up going down.
250 HEAT RACE 2 RESULTS
Austin Forkner grabbed the holeshot and immediately hit the triple-triple in the rhythm section right after the first turn. He started to pull a small gap, but the rookie, Jett Lawrence was going fast and he actually caught up to Forkner and was putting pressure on him with two laps left. Right when he was getting close enough to pressure Austin, the rookie made a mistake in the whoops and went down in the corner after. Austin went on to win the Heat with Lawrence getting up just in time to finish second, Brandon Hartranft was third.
250 HEAT RACE 1 RESULTS
Dylan Ferrandis lead early, but he was taken out by Cameron McAdoo. Then Michael Mosiman tried to pass Cameron McAdoo, but he ended up taking both of them out. Then, Christian Craig slipped by to win the Heat with Mosiman and McAdoo behind. Dylan Ferrandis took some time to get back onto the track after the crash, he would finish fifth.
