2021 SUPERCROSS SEASON POINT STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 13

2021 SUPERCROSS SEASON POINT STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 13

The 13th round of the Monster Energy SUpercross season is finally over and it feels like we got three different races all in one venue thanks to the weather. In the morning, the track was dusty and dry as the rain the day before did not soak in and evaporated in the AM. During the later half of qualifying and the Heats, water came down from the sky and soaked the track, resulting in the second qualifying session being canceled and a slippery mess in the Heat Races. And finally in the Main Events, the sun came out and dried the track, creating a totally different riding condition than the previous two experiences on the Atlanta 1 course. In timed qualifying, Cameron McAdoo broke Justin Cooper’s fast lap time streak, scoring the quickest lap time. Jason Anderson was the quickest in qualifying, becoming the fastest qualifier in the premier class. We saw plenty of crashes when the track had the texture of an ice rink, ranging from Justin Barcia, Justin Cooper, and Cameron McAdoo. Seth Hammaker and Hunter Lawrence were successful in their Heat Races in the 250 class while Eli Tomac and Jason Anderson won the Heat Races in the premier class. Find out what happened when the Main Event gate dropped down below.

450 SUPERCROSS POINTS AFTER ROUND 13 OF 17

Cooper Webb may not have won the race but still remains 12 points ahead of Ken Roczen.

Aaron Plessinger snagged the holeshot and led the race with Cooper Webb in second. Ken Roczen got one of the worst starts imaginable, sitting all the way back in 20th place. Chase Sexton ran in third place, quickly making ground on Cooper Webb while Eli Tomac ran in fourth place. Chase made the pass on Cooper Webb and with seven minutes remaining, Aaron Plessinger slid out, giving his position to the other four racers. Eli Tomac eventually got around Cooper Webb through the whoops and started to make ground on the 23. Eventually, Chase got stuck behind a lapper, Cade Clason, who didn’t allow the leader to make the pass and held Chase Sexton up. Eli Tomac took advantage of the opportunity, squeezing by and winning the race. Cooper Webb still remains in possession of the points lead, 12 ahead of Ken Roczen.

250 WEST COAST SUPERCROSS POINTS AFTER ROUND 6 of 9

After making several mistakes, Justin Cooper still salvaged many points, finishing in second, holding his first place position in the championship.

It was Seth Hammaker who grabbed the holeshot but after a few mistakes would fall through the pack. Nate Thrasher made the pass for first and would hold onto the position for the entirety of the race. Points leaders Justin Cooper, Cameron McAdoo, and Hunter Lawrence would make mistakes as well but only Justin and Cameron would salvage points in the race as Hunter Lawrence finished in seventh. Nate Thrasher would have his first podium and Main Event win in his rookie career while Justin Cooper would finish in second and Cameron McAdoo in third. Justin holds onto his points lead heading into the second Atlanta round.
