2022 FOXBOROUGH SUPERCROSS // 450 MAIN EVENT RESULTS
Supercross is back once again as the season begins to come to an end. With only two rounds left after Foxborough, Eli Tomac remains in charge of the point standings as the rest of the competition dukes it out for a spot on the championship podium. Recently, Jason Anderson has not been making it easy for Eli though as a win in Atlanta and a fast qualifying time today means that he’s not done searching for a win. Chase Sexton was fastest in qualifying today and we expect him to put on a valiant effort alongside Malcolm Stewart, Justin Barcia, and Marvin Musquin. So will Eli Tomac secure his championship title tonight or will we another rider step on top of the box? Find out down below as we report all the action LIVE from Foxborough.
450 MAIN EVENT RESULTS
Cooper Webb grabbed the holeshot with Eli Tomac and Jason Anderson in tow. Jason would bobble through one of the rhythm sections losing ground on the leaders. Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb would be found side-by-side as they crossed over the finish line. Jason would put in a clean block pass resulting in Eli stalling the Yamaha. Unlike the 250 field, one small mistake in the 450 class means dropping down several positions. Cooper Webb was not letting Jason by until the 15 minute mark when Jason would squeeze by in the bottom of a berm. Chase Sexton eventually joined the fray and would catch up even more when Cooper would get a suckerpunch of rock-filled roost to the face from Jason.
Coop would fall behind letting Marvin by and eventually Eli a lap later. Malcolm Stewart was seeking some valuable positions in the race, making the pass on Eli for fourth around the 11 minute mark. Jason Anderson would win the race.
450 HEAT 2 RACE RESULTS
Chase Sexton was first across the holeshot line and would come out of the first turn unscathed. Eli Tomac ran in second place with Malcolm Stewart in third place. Justin Barcia eventually would make his way into fourth place as the group started to spread apart. Chase Sexton would go on to win the second Heat Race.
450 HEAT 1 RACE RESULTS
Cooper Webb grabbed the holeshot in the first Heat Race but several turns later, Marvin Musquin would grab the lead. Eventually, Jason Anderson would challenge Cooper for second place as the two went back and forth around the course. Jason would get around Cooper and battle for the lead eventually overtaking Marvin but a mistake in a flat corner would leave him on the floor and back in third place. Marvin grabbed the win.
