2022 SUPERCROSS POINT STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 3 OF 17

2022 SUPERCROSS POINT STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 3 OF 17

The San Diego Supercross is in the books and boy, was it a wild one! Eli Tomac is the new points leader in the 450 class after some drama went down with Justin Barcia and Justin Bogle, causing Barcia to lose positions and drop two spots mid-race. Eli Tomac earned his first podium of the season with a second place, but it was always looking like he would finish in the number two spot. Jason Anderson was on a charge, fighting his way through the pack, passing Cooper Webb, Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac in the whoops. Unfortunately, Jason Anderson’s started experiencing bike issues soon after he passed into second and from there, he slowly started to double the triples and lose positions to the riders he passed before. See below for the current point standings in both classes.

450 POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 3 OF 17)

Chase Sexton scored his first Supercross win of his 450 career, but it’s Eli Tomac who is the new points leader.

Justin Barcia held the red plate coming into Round 3, but he had some issues with Justin Bogle midway through the 450 Main Event that ended with him on the ground. Reports say that Justin Barcia took out Justin Bogle around the 12th place mark and later, while he was being lapped, Justin Bogle was letting everyone pass by, but once Barcia came, Bogle hit him in the corner before the whoops causing Barcia to crash and lose two positions. Now, Barcia is 2-points back. *UPDATE: Justin Barcia was docked one position (from 8th to 9th) in the 450 Main Event for taking out Justin Bogle. With that, he lost one point going from 57 to 56 total points.
