2022 WASHOUGAL NATIONAL PRE-RACE REPORT: TV SCHEDULE, INJURED LIST & MORE

Round 8 of the 2022 Pro Motocross series is here and it’s Eli Tomac and Jett Lawrence with the red plate and all of the momentum in the 250 and 450 divisions. Chase Sexton isn’t going to make Eli Tomac’s job easy though, and he explained in an interview we did with him (read it here) that he likes the Washougal track and he wants to beat Eli Tomac straight up this season, because this “might” be Eli Tomac’s final season of outdoor racing. As of July 21st, Eli Tomac has a Supercross-only contract for the 2022 season, which certainly opens up the door for the rest of the pack. If Eli wasn’t racing right now, Chase would have a very comfortable 65-point lead on the next best rider with five Rounds left.

450 POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 7 OF 12)

After several rounds of Eli inching  closer to Chase Sexton, the 450 veteran has finally overtaken the Honda rider. Both Eli and Chase rode amazingly at Millville, with Eli going 1-1 in both motos and Chase going 2-2 last weekend. However, just because Eli won both motos didn’t mean Chase lost without a fight. A crash in the first moto, while leading, cost him a moto win. In the second moto, Chase stayed right behind Eli all the way to the checkers.
