250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

Seven out of the nine rounds have been claimed by the 32 of Justin Cooper.

By time the first lap had ended in the second qualifying session, it was clear that the qualifying times would be considerably faster than that of the first session. The second qualifying session was slightly delayed after a rider in the B group had went down hard and had to be carted out for medical assistance. It also wasn’t long until Justin Cooper grabbed the fastest qualifying time amongst the lites class with a 1:50.98. In second sat Jett Lawrence only half a second behind Justin. Austin Forkner grabbed the third-fastest time with Jeremy Martin moving down to fourth place. Justin Cooper has now gotten seven out of the nine fastest qualifying times in the season.

Jett Lawrence scored second fastest in qualifying, just half a second slower than Justin Cooper.

250 FIRST QUALIFYING SESSION

One rider we usually expect to be in the top ten, Hunter Lawrence, landed in 11th in the first qualifying session.

While the majority of the pack found their fastest lap time around the 6-7 lap, it was Jo Shimoda who grabbed his fastest lap time on the 3rd lap, being the only rider to get himself in the 1:55 lap time. The rest of the top 5 wasn’t too far off either as Justin Cooper sat in second with a 1:56.135 and the rest sat in the 1:56 lap time margin as well. Austin Forkner landed in the fourth place spot while second in points Jett Lawrence landed back in eight. Jett Lawrence hasn’t been the greatest qualifier but his race results speak for themselves when qualifying doesn’t have to be the top priority.

Austin Forkner also set a pretty fast lap time landing in fourth. Austin is one of the riders we expected to have better results this season but maybe we can see him put on a late-season charge. Unfortunately for Austin, the season is already out of question but it would be interesting to see him do a little bit better.
