250 QUALIFYING RESULTS | LORETTA LYNN PRO MOTOCROSS NATIONAL

Round 1 of the 2020 AMA Pro Motocross Championship is finally rolling after a three-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The series is not out of the woods yet as things are changing all the time. For instance, yesterday it was announced that the second round of the series in Washougal was canceled due to newly imposed restrictions within the state of Washington as it relates to Covid-19 infections. To fill the round in the series is coming back to the Loretta Lynn track again next weekend.

Enough of the drama, the 250 class is going to be interesting. Some riders are out due to injury, some have moved up to the 450 class giving a prime opportunity to a new group of riders to prove themselves. The riders that are looking to take first blood are guys like Dylan Ferrandis, Jeremy Martin and Justin Cooper. Here is 250 qualifying went down for the first round of the 2020 season.

250 QUALIFYING SESSION 2 RESULTS 

Dylan Ferrandis was on rails in the second 250 session. 

With the track still being rutted and muddy, Jeremy Martin went down on the first few laps of the second qualifying session. Out of the gate, it was the factory Husky rider of RJ Hampshire who was the fastest, although Dylan Ferrandis quickly overtook the top position with a 2:02.380 lap time. After only a few laps the red flag came out due do riders being stuck in ruts and a rider who crashed hard and was laying in the middle of the track.

The 250 riders went back out after Nick Gaines bike was finally removed from the track. Dylan Ferrandis knocked off two seconds to lay down a 2:00.222 lap time for the fastest time in the 250 class. Jeremy Martin was second and Jett Lawrence was third.
