250 MAIN EVENT RESULTS | 2021 ATLANTA SUPERCROSS 1
The 250 West Coast class is back for some more racing after a three week, two weekend, break from Supercross. Many of the 250 riders took advantage of this time to prepare for outdoors and get some testing in while many others kept the Supercross train rolling, continuing to train for the upcoming races. As we head into the first of three rounds held at Atlanta Motor Speedway, we noticed rain on the horizon, and unlike the Daytona rounds, it didn’t let up. In fact, the continuation of the rain resulted in the second qualifying session being canceled so that they may preserve the track, leaving the first qualifying session the only opportunity to get a spot in the night show. Cameron McAdoo broke Justin Cooper’s lap time record for the quickest time around the Motocross-inspired Supercross track. So will the 250 riders have what it takes to tackle the tacky Georgia clay or will the rain continue to worsen, creating the first genuine mudder of the season? Find out down below as we report LIVE from Atlanta Motor Speedway with all the action and news of the races.

Heat 2 took off and Cameron McAdoo grabbed the holeshot with Hunter Lawrence just behind. Hunter Lawrence went for a massive double, flying over Cameron McAdoo. Cameron McAdoo made up time in the whoops but Hunter Lawrence would get out of the obstacle first. Cameron McAdoo went sideways over one of the walls and off the track. He got quickly back on his bike but his bars pointed in directions they definitely weren’t at the beginning of the race. The racing in the second Heat was considerably better than the first as the majority of the racers jumped the jumps. Chris Blose ran in second with Garrett Marchbanks in third. Garrett Marchbanks made his way past Chris Blose. Hunter Lawrence won the second Heat Race.
250 HEAT 1 RACE RESULTS
Thankfully for the racers, the rain had slowed down, but unfortunately, the track was incredibly slick and slippery. Seth Hammaker grabbed the holeshot. Justin Cooper went down hard after losing traction and coming up short on a double. Robbie Wageman made his way around Seth Hammaker but half a lap later, Seth regained his position. Mitchell Harrison sat in third place with Kyle Peters in fourth. Seth Hammaker discovered the secret to the slippery track but slipped going into a tuff block. Mitchell Harrison made his way past but Seth regained the position shortly after. The racing was slow and pretty unexciting outside of the crashes as the lap times were almost doubled. Justin Cooper may have ate it at the beginning of the Heat Race but moved up to fifth and eventually second place. Justin Cooper made his way just behind Seth but went off the track. Seth won another Heat race in the 2021 season.
