250 MAIN EVENT RESULTS | 2021 SALT LAKE CITY SUPERCROSS 1

The East Coast class is back for racing and this time around, they only have two rounds before a champion is crowned. In the early morning, we saw Christian Craig grab the fastest qualifying time out of the 250s but unfortunately, the 29 hit the deck hard and was driven off by the medical crew. Michael Mosiman was the second fastest qualifier out of the 250s, letting everyone know that he’s ready for some racing after breaking his hand in Indianapolis. Then in third place sat Jett Lawrence who spent both qualifying sessions experimenting with different lines. And lastly in fourth place, sat red plate holder, Colt Nichols. Colt wasn’t far off from his teammate Christian Craig, but with Christian holding his leg while being carted off, it may be Colt’s championship to win. We’re hoping Christian can be ready for the night show tonight so that the racing is close between the two 250 riders and the championship comes down to the final race. Scroll down below to see the results for the races and stay tuned to Motocross Action as we report all the action LIVE from Salt Lake City.

250 MAIN EVENT RESULTS

The top five would remain close to each other throughout the race.

Jo Shimoda grabbed the holeshot with Thomas Do and Michael Mosiman hanging just behind. Colt Nichols stayed halfway in the pack playing it safe. Michael Mosiman made the pass on Thomas Do and started to close the gap on Shimoda. Jett Lawrence ran in fourth place with Colt sitting just behind in fifth. Jett Lawrence caught up to Thomas Do through the whoops but didn’t make the pass until several rhythm sections later. Colt Nichols also caught up to Jett Lawrence while Jett did the same with Jo Shimoda. Michael lost a lot of time through the whoops to Shimoda through the whoops and the two passed Josh Osby who went down after the Supercross triple. Michael caught up to Jo once again. Michael and Jo started bar banging getting very close to each other.

The leaders were caught deep into lap traffic as Michael continued to making passing attempts. While Michael was trying to catch up to Jo, Jett Lawrence made significant progress on the two. A mistake through one of the rhythm sections cost Michael’s spot in the race and Jett made the pass. Michael Mosiman went off the track giving his position to Colt Nichols. Jett got close to passing Jo but Jo would cross the checkers first, winning his first Main Event.
