250 OVERALL RACE RESULTS | 2021 SOUTHWICK NATIONAL
The fifth round of the 2021 Pro Motocross series was put on a weather report as the day before the race, the track would be slammed by 5 inches of heavy rain. fortunately, the track workers were hard at work repairing the track and thankfully for the racers, the track resembled the Southwick we all remember and love. In timed qualifying, for the first time in a long time, Justin Cooper was not the fastest qualifier. In fact, some of the top 250 riders we expected to do extremely well would slightly underperform. Rj Hampshire was your fastest qualifier and we couldn’t wait till gate dropped. So scroll down below as we report all the action LIVE from the Wick 338.

250 OVERALL RACE RESULTS
Rj Hampshire grabbed the holeshot in the second moto and Justin Cooper chased in second. Jeremy Martin and Jalek Swoll had a collision causing the two to go down after Jeremy tipped over in the sand. Back in seventh place, Max Vohland and Michael Mosiman duked it out and eventually the GasGas rider would take the position away. In fourth and fifth sat the Lawrence brothers, Jett and Hunter, as the two inched closer to each other. With 21 minutes remaining, Rj Hampshire continued to lead the race with more than a 3.5 second lead on Justin Cooper. But as we typed that sentence, Rj once again, tipped over in a corner. We’re not sure how he does it but he gets back on remarkably fast and returns to race speed.
Austin Forkner had a pretty bad crash halfway through the race appearing to aggravate his previously injured hand. At 12 minutes remaining, Rj would once again, take a soil sample of the Massachusetts sand. Jett Lawrence began to turn the heat on high as he attempted passing Jo Shimoda with 10 minutes left in the race. The Lawrence brother, Hunter, made the pass for first place on Justin Cooper.
Soon, the younger Lawrence brother, Jett, would eventually catch up to Justin as well. But it would be Hunter Lawrence who would get first overall win in AMA Pro Motocross.

250 MOTO 1 RACE RESULTS
Two of our championship leaders, Jett Lawrence and Justin Cooper, would struggle in the first moto.
Jalek Swoll was first across the line in the first moto as the rest of the 250 field chased behind. Rj Hampshire chased in second place with Jo Shimoda in third and Michael Mosiman in fourth. Several turns later, Michael made the pass on Jo taking the inside of a turn. A lap in, Hunter Lawrence began to put pressure on Jo Shimoda while Swoll continued to lead the race. Michael made significant ground on Hampshire. Red plate holder Jett Lawrence was all the back in tenth place. Rj Hampshire and Jalek Swoll duked it out several laps in and eventually, Rj would be successful in the pass. With 21 minutes remaining, Michael Mosiman made the pass on Jalek Swoll while Hunter Lawrence would follow, passing both Shimoda and Swoll.
Rj Hampshire would once again find himself on the ground this season but thankfully made a quick recovery, only losing two positions. Michael Mosiman was then the race leader and Hunter Lawrence would be in second place. At 10 minutes, we would see a close three-way battle between Mosiman, Hunter Lawrence, and Rj Hampshire. And in a flurry of events, Michael Mosiman stuffed the front end over in the sand.
Jalek Swoll and Jett Lawrence battled each other when the two came over a tabletop and we would witness one of the biggest switch-a-roos of the season. Jalek was bucked completely sideways while in front and had one of the greatest saves we’ve seen this season. Jett hit the table not anticipating Jalek to go sideways and would land on the rear end of Jalek, going down hard. Rj Hampshire once again tipped over in a corner but would lose no positions. Hunter Lawrence would win the first moto.

Michael Mosiman led the race for several laps but the pressure and an off-camber sand turn would get the best of him.
