250 OVERALL RACE RESULTS
The 250 Motos may not have been as exciting as the 450 class, but the racing was close nonetheless.
Justin Cooper took the holeshot with Jett Lawrence chasing in second place. The other Lawrence brother, Hunter ran in third place. Jett and Justin went back and forth making passing and blocking attempts on each other for the lead. Rj Hampshire ran in fourth place with Jarrett Frye in fifth. Rj went down hard at the bottom of one of the downhill sections, being ejected from the bike. Jarrett Frye moved up to fourth place with Jalek Swoll in fifth. After five minutes, Jett Lawrence was right up behind Justin Cooper for the lead.
Jeremy Martin found himself on the side of the track after a crash and it would be an unfortunate weekend for the Martins. Jett nearly took out Justin with a very close pas leading up one of the hills. The two race leaders were remarkably ahead of the rest of the field, more than nine seconds ahead of third place. At half of the race remaining, Jett proceeded to create a gap in between himself and Justin Cooper. At six minutes remaining, Michael Mosiman made the pass on Jo Shimoda for fourth place. Jett won the moto but Justin Cooper grabbed the overall.

250 MOTO 1 RACE RESULTS
Austin Forkner didn’t get the start he wanted in the first moto.
It was Jeremy Martin and Jett Lawrence who had a photo holeshot with Justin Cooper racing in third place. The track was slick as the track was freshly watered by the track crew. Michael Mosiman and Ty Masterpool battled for fourth place on the first lap. A red flag was waved after Jerry Robin had a nasty tumble leading to a restart of the race. Justin Cooper grabbed the holeshot and it was Joshua Varize who made his way passed Jeremy Martin for second. Both Jeremy and Rj Hampshire made their passed Varize all within a handful of turns. Hunter Lawrence got redemption from a poor start before the red flag was waved as he now sat in fifth place.
His brother Jett Lawrence sat in fourth and he had begun to make progress on Rj Hampshire who sat in third. With just over nine minutes passed, Jeremy Martin made a significant gain on his teammate, closing the gap on Cooper. Rj Hampshire also made progress on the two race leaders, giving some breathing room between himself and Jett Lawrence. Jeremy Martin made a close squeeze on Justin Cooper just after the start straight, and later becoming successful on the doubles heading up the hill.
Justin Cooper led the majority of the race but his teammate would make the pass.
With less than ten minutes remaining, the leaders began to run into lap traffic. But unlike the entirety of the 2021 Supercross season, these guys moved over for the leaders. Jeremy Martin’s lead grew to over two seconds on Justin Cooper. Michael Mosiman who was running in sixth had a mechanical issue, pulling off into the mechanic’s area.
