450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2021 ARLINGTON SUPERCROSS 1

The premier class has landed in Arlington, Texas for a three-race residency for the next rounds in Monster Energy Supercross season. With how exciting the 450 class is during qualifying, it is always amazing just how close the fastest riders are when it comes down to lap times. Usually separated by just a few seconds, we have seen top runners like Ken Roczen, Eli Tomac, and more grab the top spot consistently. One common complaint about Daytona was how limited the line choices began to turn into by the end of the race. Arlington appears to have taken a note and features multiple line choices which will hopefully lead to some exciting passing opportunities. So who do you think will grab the fastest spot in timed qualifying as the day goes on in Arlington, Texas. Find out down below as we report LIVE from AT&T Stadium with all of the coverage from the race.

The qualifying times in the second session were insanely close.

The second qualifying session took off with Joey Savatgy and Ken Roczen running out front of the premier class. By the time the 450 class has touched the whoops, the section already had a giant rut through the middle. Marvin Musquin jumped to the top of the leaderboard with Cooper Webb running in second. Ken Roczen ran in third with his teammate, Chase Sexton in fourth. There were several parts of the track where huge jump opportunities presented themselves, leaving only a handful of riders daring enough to go for the section. Dylan Ferrandis moved up to fourth place, passing Chase Sexton. Eli Tomac’s very fast quad jump through one of the sections proved useful as he jumped to second in qualifying. Martin Davalos put down a very fast time, going up to sixth place. Dylan Ferrandis proceeded to ride exceptional moving up to second. Almost all of the 450s started jumping through the whoops. Marvin Musquin still held onto the fastest lap time with two minutes remaining. Marvin Musquin was your fastest qualifier of the day.

GROUP A 450 FIRST QUALIFYING SESSION

At the beginning of the first qualifying session, Jason Anderson carried a lot of urgency, jumping to the front of the pack to get a clear track. However, Cooper Webb was the first fastest rider under the AT&T lights setting a 45.61. However, the fastest lap time does last long in this year’s 450 class as Malcolm Stewart and Ken Roczen jumped upfront of the pack. But a whole lap later, Cooper Webb took the first place spot back. Aaron Plessinger moved up to second place with Marvin Musquin following in third. The top five jumped up and down in lap times as every other lap, the riders were beating each other out by just .010 of a second. By the end of the first qualifying session, Cooper Webb held onto the fastest qualifying time.
