450 QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2020 SALT LAKE CITY SUPERCROSS ROUND 17 FINALE
The 2020 Monster Energy Supercross finale is here in Salt Lake City, Utah, and it’s officially Championship day for the 450SX, 250SX West and 250SX East divisions. Coming into Round 16 on Wednesday, Eli Tomac had the chance to clinch his first every 450 Supercross Championship one round early and it looked like he would do it, but Cooper Webb fought tooth and nail to hold him back and bring the title fight to the season finale. Now, Eli has a 22-point lead over Webb and all Eli has to do is finish 18th or better in the Main Event to secure his first 450SX Championship.
450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb both qualified with the exact same 49.438 lap time which is incredible, but what is even crazier is that their second fastest times were almost identical as well at 49.658 and 49.883. Zach Osborne was out in front during the second 450 Qualifying session with Cooper Webb behind him. Then, Osborne made a mistake at the end of the whoop section and it shot the bike sideways. He landed, but couldn’t save it, the bike pitched him up, but unfortunately he didn’t get over the handlebars. Zach hit the end of his bars with his stomach and came to a complete stop. Zach got up and immediately walked off the track and went straight to the mechanics area and found the Alpinestars mobile medical doctor to get his stomach checked out. We hope that he’s ok.
