450 QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2021 INDIANAPOLIS SUPERCROSS 3
The premier class is back under the Lucas Oil Stadium lights for the sixth round in the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season. The riders will be taking a right hand turn after the start and jumping through a lot of rhythm as they progress the track. The first two Indy tracks have provided very difficult track conditions as the hard dry Indy dirt chips away forming huge ruts at the base of jumps and G-Outs. Now with more rhythm, we expect the riders to be challenged even more as similar lap times from the first two Indy rounds prove to be close in lap times, which means the track will become more deteriorated. Eli Tomac was the fastest in the previous round during qualifying yet Ken Roczen has been dominant when it comes time for the gate to drop for the Heat Races and Main Event. So get those fantasy picks ready and grab some coffee as we report LIVE on the fastest premier riders in Indianapolis.

450 OVERALL QUALIFYING
Just like the 250 class, the 450s started off the second qualifying session with a lot of elbow bumping. Aaron Plessinger moved to the front so he would get a clean track in front of him. And just like the first 450 qualifying session, almost all the riders swapped positions throughout the session. Ken Roczen was soon in the lead followed by Cooper Webb and Adam Cianicairulo. Adam made the lap time pass on Cooper Webb and his teammate, Eli Tomac, sat behind the KTM rider. Cooper Webb took the lead a few laps later followed by Adam Cianciarulo, Zach Osborne, and then Ken Roczen. But one rider finally broke into the 46-second mark, that rider being Eli Tomac with a 46.951. Cooper Webb joined Eli three laps later and actually passed the 2020 SX champ for the qualifying lead.
450 GROUP A FIRST QUALIFYING SESSION
Adam Cianciarulo jumped out in front of the premier class to get the fastest lap time followed by KTM Factory riders Cooper Webb and Marvin Musquin. However, we’ve seen the leaderboard shake up multiple times in qualifying in previous rounds this year as the majority of the leaderboard swaps positions constantly as the session goes on. Ken Roczen took the lead but his opponent Cooper Webb jumped just ahead of the 94 into the 47 second lap time. The majority of the class sat in the 48 and 49 second lap times with only the bottom three sitting in the 50 second lap time. Soon the top five jumped into the 47 second lap time and Marvin grabbed the lead. One rider we haven’t seen qualify this well was Malcolm Stewart who sat in fourth place sandwiched in between Cianciarulo and Roczen. Cooper Webb passed his teammate for the lead almost breaking the 46 second lap time barrier, just .031 of a second off.
