The gates are about to drop in Arlington as we take on the tenth round of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season. The fastest premier class riders have gathered today in AT&T Stadium to duke it out once again for a chance of walking away with championship points. Rivals Ken Roczen and Cooper Webb are closer than ever before in this championship with only two points separating the two. However, it was Cooper’s teammate, Marvin Musquin, who was the fastest in timed qualifying with the two points leaders following closely behind. Will Ken Roczen be able to fend off Cooper for the red plate or will Cooper Webb dig deep, and take away the points lead? Or will we see one of the many other talented 450 class riders make a surprise and win tonight’s race? Find out down below as we report LIVE from AT&T Stadium for the tenth round of the Monster Energy Supercross season.

A new points leader would emerge after the first round of Arlington.

The Main Event took off and Dean Wilson grabbed another holeshot. Cooper Webb took the lead away from Dean and the points leader is nowhere to be found. Back all the way in tenth sat Ken Roczen after getting a terrible gate choice, which resulted in zero traction after the gate dropped. Justin Barcia ran in second place with Chase Sexton in third. Malcolm Stewart ran into the side of Jason Anderson for a dirty pass but instant karma would strike, sending the 27 over the berm. Dylan Ferrandis crashed hard after being run high by Jason Anderson through a berm. In fourth sat Jason Anderson with Dean Wilson in fifth. Aaron Plessinger continued to ride well and made passing attempts on Dean, becoming successful a turn later. However, Dean Wilson put up a fight and made the pass back on Plessinger. Ken remained stuck behind Aaron and Dean as Joey Savatgy eventually caught up to the pack. Aaron took his position back from Dean and began to pull away from the Husqvarna rider. Ken moved up to sixth after passing Dean and started to pull away. Jason Anderson made the pass on Chase Sexton for third with seven minutes remaining. Joey Savatgy got around Dean Wilson for the seventh place position. Cooper Webb won the first Main Event in Arlington.

Cooper Webb is now the Points leader.

After making a close pass on Joey Savatgy through the whoops, Aaron began to lead the race.

Aaron Plessinger led the second Heat Race but it was Joey Savatgy who grabbed the lead a turn later. Marvin Musquin sat in third place and quickly made his way back up to the leaders. Aaron grabbed the first place position through the whoops thanks to his long legs. Marvin started to breathe down Joey’s back making several passing attempts. Cooper Webb and Eli Tomac battled for fifth place as the two got a very poor start. Malcolm Stewart ran in fourth place trying to gain ground on those upfront. Aaron didn’t seem concerned about everyone else though as his lead grew to almost three seconds. Marvin Musquin laid unconscious at the base of one of the berms after a rhythm section. Aaron Plessinger grabbed his first Heat win on the 2021 season.

Ken made a huge mistake costing him valuable gate positions heading into the Main Event.

Heat 1 took off and Dean Wilson was first to the first turn but Jason Anderson was just feet behind. Dylan Ferrandis and Ken Roczen battled for third meanwhile Jason Anderson took the lead. Ken eventually got past Ferrandis for third place and set his eyes on Dean Wilson. Dean Wilson didn’t let up though as he made his way back up to Jason Anderson. Dean wasn’t going to make it easy for Ken as he continued to block all his passing attempts. Justin Barcia entered the equation and Ken made a huge mistake coming up short in one of the rhythm sections. Ken Roczen dropped all the way down to seventh place. Jason took the checkered flag for his second Heat Race win of the year.
