With twenty one wins in the AMA Outdoor National Motocross championships, Steve Lamson was the man to challenge in the mid 1990’s. Lamson was known for his skill on the 125cc two stroke by clinching the 1995 and 1996 Outdoor National championships on his iconic Factory CR125. While he is one of the few greats not to have a Supercross win, Lamson beat out everyone in a moto during the mixed 125cc/500cc race at the 1996 Motocross des Nations (held in Jerez, Spain that year). After his long 19 year career, Lamson continued to work in the industry both as a trainer and team manager. Under his guidance as team manager at Star Racing he has overseen the success of both Jeremy Martin and Cooper Webb as rising stars in the motocross industry.
