ALEX MARTIN INJURY UPDATE & VLOG VIDEO

ALEX MARTIN 2021 ORLANDO SUPERCROSS 2 INJURY UPDATE & VLOG VIDEO

Alex Martin’s crash on the opening lap of the Orlando Supercross #2 250 West Main Event on Saturday led to the race being red flagged and restarted. The crash wasn’t shown on TV, but you can see the crash in Alex Martin’s vlog video (shown below) at the 21:30-minute mark. The video shows Alex being kicked forward and then his front wheelie turned while he was riding a nose wheelie. This sent him over the bars and head first into the steep berm. Alex Martin made a post on instagram Wednesday after the Saturday night race and said: “Update Thanks to everyone that checked in after that scary crash in Orlando last weekend. Had to take some time away from all screens to give my head a break. Feeling better now and will be taking all the proper steps before I get back on the bike. Thanks for the support!!”

Now the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season is taking it’s first break of 2021. There won’t be any racing this Saturday, February 27th, but the racing will get back under way with Round 9 of the series at the Daytona Supercross on March 6th. We don’t expect Alex to be back racing at Daytona, but we hope that he heals up quickly and we look forward to seeing him back on the track soon.

BEHIND THE SCENES WITH ALEX MARTIN AT ORLANDO 2: VLOG VIDEO

Vlog videos have quickly gained popularity in the motocross industry and Pro riders are taking advantage of them by hiring videographers to follow them throughout their days of training and racing. These videos provide a unique insight into the life of a Pro racer for fans and Alex Martin has been doing a great job at documenting his life with his friend, Bryar Perry of 180 Decals, doing the filming and editing.  Check out Alex Martin’s vlog video above to see what Alex’s day was like at Orlando leading up to his crash and even after his crash when he was dealing with the affects of a concussion and was struggling to remember what had happened throughout the day.
