AUSSIE SUPERCROSS SERIES: JAY MARMONT WINS 450 CLASS, WHILE BRENDAN HARRRISON TAKES 250 CLASS


Yamaha’s Jay Marmont has taken his first 450 Pro victory of the season at Campbelltown’s third round of the 2011 Monster Energy Super X series.

Four-time Australian outdoor champion Jay Marmont won the premier 450 class with a three moto score of with 2-1-1 results (claiming the overall victory just days following the birth of his baby boy, Jax) With two races left in the five race series, Marmont is still in contention for the Championship.  Finsihsing second behind Marmont was rookie Lawson Bopping, who went 1-5-2.

Tye Simmonds, who won the first round of ther series, was third, while maintaining his points lead in the Aussie Supercross series points race.

In the 250 class, Brenden Harrison clinched his first ever 250 victory with 4-1-3 with American Gavin Faith finishing second overall with Luke Styke (3-3-4) third. 250 points leader Matt Moss went 2-2-10 for fourth. Moss has a three point lead over Harrison

The next round is on  Saturday, November12 in the Hunter Valley at Maitland.
