AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL RESULT & VIDEO: JAKE MOSS WINS HERVEY BAY & MATT MOSS TAKES OVER POINTS LEAD, BUT BILLY MACKENZIE STANDS ON THE TOP STEP OF THE PODIUM

In a move obviously designed to confuse the spectators and rest of the world, Jake Moss’ 2-2 was beat in the 450 National round at Hervey Bay by Billy Mackenzie’s 3-3. How can this happen? In Australia, they give 5 points to the rider who sets the fastest time in practice. Instead of adding these points to the season total ? they also add them to the day’s results. Thus, the rider who did the best in both motos on Sunday lost to the rider he beat twice in the races. This is a stupid idea from a marketing point of view and just adds confusion for the spectators, who would need a calculator to figure out how Mackenzie got 65 points, and the Moss brothers got 64 points each.
