BEST IN THE PITS | 2021 ATLANTA SUPERCROSS 3

The bikes are back in the pits for the third time in Atlanta Motor Speedway located in Hampton, Georgia, for the third and final tripleheader of the season. With only a few rounds remaining in the season, several riders are scrambling to get it done for a fight the championship. Ken Roczen won Atlanta 2, gaining significant ground on his rival Cooper Webb while 250 rider Cameron McAdoo sits in second place to star Yamaha rider, Justin Cooper. The racing is close and action-packed and we can’t wait till it all comes down to the wire. It’s race day here in Georgia and MXA’s Brian Converse was out scouting the pits for some of the coolest looking bikes and capturing the sights and sounds of the NASCAR speedway. Scroll down below to take a stroll through the pits of Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Cooper Webb still holds onto the championship lead but after his less than desirable performance at Atlanta 2, we wonder if Ken Roczen will make the final push to close the points gap.

Enzo Lope’s Phoenix Racing Honda being assembled for practice and qualifying.

Cameron McAdoo sits nine points behind Justin Cooper in the points hunt and with only two rounds left, Cameron is running out of time to seal the deal in the championship.

Justin Barcia’s factory ride looking ready for the weekend. Justin Barcia is currently sitting in fourth in the championship and with a huge gap in between himself, third place, and fifth place, it’s starting to look like he’ll end the season in a solid fourth.

The Chaparral Honda team has a spare muffler on their mechanic’s cart, in case they need to do a hot swap on one of their two mufflers amongst each rider.

Marvin has had a tough year but still sends it at the races. The French man can be seen usually at the front of the pack but his consistent competitors gain the advantage of steady race finishes, placing them ahead in the points lead.

Joey Savatgy’s bike getting the final tunings in.

DocG is a guru in the pits, assessing everyone’s chiropractic needs.

There’s no doubt that the TLD 250 race team has faced several challenges this year but they keep pressing on. Now, Pierce Brown is the only one left on the West Coast series as Ryan Sipes’s injuries sustained from Atlanta 2, were too much for the veteran racer to compete.

The teams always eat good when at the races, typically with delicious “homemade” meals or nice catering options.

Eli Tomac’s race bike is ready for Atlanta 3.

Malcolm Stewart had a scary get-off at the beginning of the Main Event at Atlanta 2, so we’re hoping the 27 has a little bit more luck heading to ATL 3.

Forget the scooters, the electric bike will do.

Hardy Munoz has a Slayer-themed bike for the weekend. Honestly, we were kind of hoping there would be more themed bikes this season.

Shane McElrath’s ride waiting for the 450 rider’s return.

Mitchell Harrison’s ride getting a final once over before practice.

It’s awesome seeing Derek Drake back at the races after having a gnarly crash before the season started and breaking his leg.

Seth Hammaker trying to find service in the pits.

Anyone know the parts cost Alex Ray has accumulated so far?

Hunter Lawrence currently sits third in points in the 250 championship, just seven behind Cameron McAdoo.

Yeah, they definitely got some SC1 on Robbie Wageman’s bike.
