Chad Reed back in North Carolina.

On JGR’s Instagram stories, Chad Reed was shown back in North Carolina at the JGR testing grounds. This time he was testing for Supercross. Could this be more than a one time thing? Could Chad be siging on the dotted line for the 2019 Supercross series with the JGR team? Or will he just race the Monster Every Cup and see how things go? We don’t really care what he rides, we just want Chad lining up. Thanks to the JGR guys for giving this old champ another go.

Chad Reed posted on his Instagram page this photo of him riding an Autotrader Suzuki in North Carolina.

Chad Reed said he won’t race the 2019 Supercross season unless he is on a team that pays his way. He says it is too much work and costs too much money to go racing. It seems as though factory teams are staying away from Chad. Maybe it is his lack of results in the 2018 Supercross series or maybe they just don’t want to deal with his openness. Whatever the matter is, Chad is a legend in the sport and has a huge fan base that would attract attention to any team.

The Autotrader JGR team has been known to be different than the rest. They have gave many riders a chance when other teams wouldn’t. We would call the JGR team open minded to opportunity. We are unsure if it was Chad’s idea or the team to bring the two together for Chad to test one their RM-Z450. Whatever the case may be, we are excited about this. Why? There is a chance that Chad will race in 2019.

Chad Reed had this to say on his Instagram account: “In our sport every rider tests for different teams it’s just always private because of contract obligations. Today I’m in a unique position of no manufacturer contract.
So today I’ll try share my fun experience testing the factory @jgrmx bike.
