DREAM JOBS: HOW TO MAKE A LIVING DOING WHAT YOU LOVE (03/07/13)

STARTING POINT: “I worked for the factory Suzuki ATV and motocross team at different times. I’ve worked with Vuillemin, Dungey, Reed, Alessi and Byrne. I developed a relationship with Wayne Hinson through the ATV side. When the economy got tough, I was lucky enough to get a job at Hinson and stay in the motorcycle industry.”

THE JOB: “For quality control, I’m involved making sure that the tolerances are right and the production run starts properly. If a run starts bad, the whole batch is ruined. Once the parts come back from coating, I check to make sure they fit properly before they are boxed and packaged. I also help with R&D, trying new things to make sure the parts are user-friendly, durable and the best they can be. I went as far as high school and got my GED. To make a living getting to work on motorcycles and be around something I love, I can’t ask for more than that.”
