DeCoster on his works Suzuki from a page in the March 1976 issue of MXA.

There are many nicknames in motocross. Some are goofy and poke fun at rider quirks and past stories. Others are given with reverence. No nickname is more revered than “The Man.” Roger DeCoster is that man. DeCoster is a five-time 500cc World Champion and currently manages the Red Bull KTM U.S. team. The photograph above is from the final year he won a World Championship. The year? 1976. While DeCoster had a slow start to the 1976 season, he won the second moto at the French Grand Prix. It would be another race before he would take the overall win, which he did six more times in the season. The last Grand Prix DeCoster won was in his home country of Belgium. DeCoster won the first moto and led out of the gate in the second moto. Eventually he was overtaken by Gerrit Wolsink, but still was able to take the overall win. Decoster would end the season with 183 points, five points ahead of fellow Suzuki rider and Frenchman, Gerrit Wolsink.
