FUN FACTS // 2023 HOUSTON SUPERCROSS
The stage was set for a thrilling round of the 2023 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, as the best motocross racers in the world gathered at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The atmosphere was electric as the fans eagerly awaited the start of the main event.
As the gate dropped, Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Eli Tomac, who had been seeking a return to his winning ways, quickly took control of the race. He showed his dominance, displaying a masterful performance that left his competitors in his wake.
However, Team Honda HRC’s Chase Sexton was not going to let Tomac have it all his own way. Sexton put in a determined effort, pushing Tomac to the limit, and had the lead in his sights. But despite his best efforts, he was unable to catch Tomac and had to settle for second place.
Meanwhile, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson made his way to the front of the pack, taking the final podium position. Anderson’s consistent performance throughout the event earned him valuable points towards both the 17-round Supercross season and the inaugural 31-round SuperMotocross World Championship.
In the Eastern Regional 250SX Class, Team Honda HRC’s Hunter Lawrence stole the show with a commanding performance that earned him the win in the opening round. With such a dominant display, his competitors should be worried about what lies ahead for the remainder of the season.
