ICON NEWS: STEVE MCQUEEN’S 1938 HARLEY SELLS FOR $125,000

Steve’s Harley-Davidson.

Steve McQueen’s personal Harley Davidson sold at the Mecum Auction in Anaheim this weekend for $125,000. It had originally been sold back in 1984 at the McQueen estate sale. The bike had orginal paint and 21,000 miles on the odometer. Along with the bike came the original bill of sale from estate sale, 1984 Certificate of Authenticity and McQueen’s personal tools found wrapped in a piece of denim in the frame-mounted tool box.

Steve’s tweed?now and then.

Just when you thought everything that Steve McQueen ever owned had already been sold to collectors (including his cars, watches, dirt bikes, drivers license, camper and “LeMans” driving suit), the tweed sport jacket he wore in the classic film “Bullitt” is going on sale to the highest bidder on Jan.16 at Bonham’s.
