Livia Lancelot wrapped up her racing career with two Women’s World Championships and is moving on the running a 250 GP team.

Two-time Women’s World Motocross Champion, Livia Lancelot competed in her last race at the final round of the FIM Motocross Women World Championship. After twenty years of racing, including twelve seasons at the highest level, the charismatic Livia will embark on a new challenge in the coming weeks. Doing most of her career Livia claimed numerous successes on a Kawasaki, but she will only keep working as part of Team Green until the end of French Beach Race series.

Kawasaki dropped its 250 GP effort for 2018, so Lancelot moved to Honda and was rewarded with Hunter Lawrence, who needed a 250 ride after Suzuki also pulled out of the Grands Prix.

But for such an active woman this project is not enough and Livia reached another dream as she will become the manager of a team involved in the MX2 World Championship. “For a few years I have been riding with my own 114 Team, and my dream has always been to enter the 250 World Championship. Of course it would have been really great to do this with my current partners, but the involvement in the 250 GP class is different than WMX so there is no possibility to continue with all of them and especially Kawasaki. We had a long and successful story together since 2007, and I really want to thank Kawasaki Europe, Kawasaki France, Steve Guttridge and Fred Bassaler for their support during all these seasons. I think that we can be proud of what we achieved together,” said Livia.

Livia will now turn here attention towards the 114 Team’s Honda effort in the 2018 MXGP season—where she will be the team manager—and her riders will be Hunter Lawrence (who will race the 250 GPs before moving to America in 2019 for the Geico Honda team) and Bas Vaessen.
