KTM’S PIT BEIER ON THE K-ROC RUMORS

Ken Roczen.

Ken Roczen has been the subject of rumors that he was trying to leave the KTM team and when he canceled his plas to race the Genova Supercross this weekend and Paris Supercross next weekend, the conjecture got more heated. KTM sports director Pit Beirer answered the questions of mx-pure when he said:

“When Kenny lost the AMA outdoor title to an amazingly strong Eli Tomac a lot was going on in his head. He was unhappy with the world, unhappy with the team, the bike and himself. I think the Nations was the turning point again as he rode such a strong race, and when I saw him last week at the Monster Cup in Vegas he was happy again. He has seen his potential on the 450 and seen that he is not missing much to be a front runner. With this is mind he has decided to uproot his house in California and move to Florida where he can work with Aldon Baker, the trainer who took Ricky Carmichael and Ryan Villopoto to the very top.

“He has also signed up with the Wasserman management group and it is clear that other teams are interested in him, but Ken has a contract with KTM until the end of 2014 and is currently training on the KTM which we have shipped out to Florida for him. It’s a pity that he will not be able to race Genova and Bercy, but with the change of class, move to Florida and his link to Aldon he has to set priorities, and he has recognized that his main priority is to be ready for A1 in January.”

ARE YOU READY FOR THE 2015 RM-Z? THE ELECTRIC VERSION

The Suzuzki Extrigger concept bike has an electric motor housed inside an aluminum frame. It comes with an inverted front fork as well as front and rear disc brakes. Most uniquely,  on the front and back sides of Extrigger, luminescence devices equipped with visible light communications technology transmit information through blinking lights. By capturing the blinking lights via the “picapicamera” app on a smartphone, users receive a message in the form of a speech bubble image. These images can be saved as pictures, and also shared between users who download “picapicamera.”
