MOTOCROSS ACTION’S RAW SOUND OF A YAMAHA YZ250 TWO-STROKE AT WORK

If there is one bright spot in the motocross industry, especially for aftermarket companies, it is the rebirth of the two-stroke market. No only are riders buying the current crop of Yamaha, KTM, Husky, TM and soon-to-be released Beta motocross two-strokes, but they are clearing the shelves and submitting orders for parts that fit older two-strokes. Luckily, the motocross world was once dominated by two-strokes, so there are lots of old bikes sitting in garages waiting for a little loving care.  Here is a classic example of what a two-stroke sounds like at speed—with Josh Mosiman at the controls at the now closed Milestone MX Park.
