MXA PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: XACT PRO COMPONENTS FOR THE KTM 2023 MOTOCROSS BIKES

With the launch of the new KTM 2023 motocross range, new WP components have been developed specifically for the 2023 models platform—specifically, the XACT Pro 7548 Cone Valve Fork and XACT Pro 8950 shock.

XACT PRO 7548 FORK

The XACT PRO 7548 Fork is an elite blend made with premium materials—including the highly acclaimed by its Cone Valve technology. Cone valves are easy to adapt and adjust for different types of tracks. Combined with the WP Closed Cartridge Technology and coil springs in both legs, the result is a unique riding experience with a significant increase in comfort without having to give up direct feedback. The pressurized cartridge system reduces cavitation risk, while all fork’s settings, including pre-load adjustment, are externally adjustable. The fork also features machined billet fork lugs.

The WP XACT Pro 7548 fork retails for $3649 USD and the four-stroke versions will be available in late May. The two-stroke version of the new Cone Valve fork will not be available until September of 2022.

XACT PRO 8950 SHOCK ABSORBER

The XACT Pro 8950 rear shock is a fully-adjustable shock absorber that offers more traction on the rear wheel, demanding less physical effort from the rider. The Linked Damping System technology enables sufficient damping reserves for the most demanding conditions on the track. The SuperTrax feature, best know as the drop-out shock, detects missing ground contact and enables faster rebound by opening a bypass oil valve, taking your ride to a whole new level of comfort and control. The rebound damping can be perfectly adjusted to suit any rider via the built-in TXN adjuster. The “TXN” adjuster is a high-speed rebound adjuster. Close the TXN adjuster and it puts pressure on the spring and valve, increasing the high-speed rebound damping. Opening the TXN adjuster puts less preload on the spring and valve, reducing the high-speed rebound damping. The traditional low-speed rebound adjuster needle operates as normal down the center.

The XACT PRO 8950 shock retails for $2349 and the four-stroke versions will be available in late May. The two-stroke version of the new Pro 8950 shock will not be available until September of 2022.

The all-new 2023 Pro Component suspension units will be available for the following motorcycles: 2023 KTM 450SXF, 350SXF, 250SXF, 250SX, 300SX, 125SX and the two already release 2022-1/2 Factory Editions. For more detailed info go to www.WP-Suspension.com.
