MXA VIDEO: 2022 YAMAHA YZ125 VERSUS 2022 HUSQVARNA TC125

The 2022 Yamaha YZ125 has a long list of updates, most notably it’s new engine. Although it didn’t gain as much horsepower as we expected it to, we were surprised with how fast it was on the track. The KTM, Husky (and now GasGas) 125 two-strokes share the same power plant and same basic suspension components, even though the Husky’s forks are shorter and the linkage is revised and seal head on the shock is longer as well to lower the whole bike 1-inch. Everyone wants to know, is the new YZ125 a KTM killer? We dive into that question here in this video and even offer some lap time comparisons between the Husky and Yamaha.
