QUIZ ANSWER: Bob Hannah (left) needs no clues, he was the dominant American motocross racer of the 1970s and into the ’80s. He won three AMA Supercross Championship, the AMA 125 National Championship (1976),  250 National Championship (1978-1979), 1978 Trans-AMA Championship, and 1987 Motocross des Nations (with Ricky Johnson and Jeff Ward) and , of course, is in the AMA Hall of Fame. The rider on the right is Eddie Cole. He was signed by Kawasaki in 1974 to race their rotary valve 125 in the AMA Nationals. It was unreliable, but Eddie raced Penton, Bultacos and Can-Ams after that. He raced his last National in 1978 and went into the aftermarket business. In business, Eddie was as big a Superstar as Hannah was in Supercross. Never heard of him? Well, he was responsible for Answer, SixSixOne, Alumalite handlebars, Pro Taper, Tag Metals, and revivals of Sunline, Filtron and Manitou mountain bikes. Today, he is involved in Matrix Components and Atlas neck braces.
