In a surprisingly move, considering that the MX Sports-run Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Nationals couldn’t come to terms with California’s Glen Helen Raceway over holding this year’s AMA motocross at the track, major motocross sponsor Lucas Oil announced that on August 7th and 8th, they will move their Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series event to the landmark facility in San Bernardino, California. The Lucas Oil banner will fly over the Pro 4, Pro 2, Pro Lite, Pro Buggy, Kart and UTV races.

Lucas Oil Executive-Vice President, Bob Patison, said. “Over the years, Bud Feldkamp has built Glen Helen into a world class destination for motocross and offroad racing. We look forward to building this relationship with Bud and his staff.”

Additionally, Lucas Oil Products unveiled a groundbreaking new offroad racing organization?the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Racing Series. Under the guidance of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Director, Tony Vanillo, the Regional Series will unite short course offroad racing under one umbrella. The Arizona Short Course Championship, Glen Helen Off Road Short Course Racing Series and General Tire Trophy Lite Series will all join under the Lucas Oil umbrella. Each individual organization will retain its managerial autonomy, but they will share a host of benefits including available insurance, a unified rules package, common classes, as well as technical and safety support.
