MXA TEAM TESTED: DECAL WORKS RESTYLE CRF250/450 SIDE PANELS

WHAT IS IT? Not only does Honda insist on running dual-exhaust pipes on the 2013–’14 CRF450 and 2014 CRF250, but the rear side panels and number plates are also separate pieces. This means two mufflers, two side panels and two number plates. On a normal, single-exhaust bike, these six parts are limited to three parts. Thankfully, DeCal Works has stepped […]

WE RIDE SERVICE HONDA’S CR250AF TWO-STROKE MOTOCROSS BIKE

It utilizes almost all stock parts and even the stock 2001 pipe will fit.   When four-strokes motocross bikes took over the motocross world—the second time, not the first time—only Yamaha and the European […]

MXA’S 2014 HONDA CRF250 MOTOCROSS TEST: HONDA HAS CONFUSED US WITH A BIKE THAT DELIVERS MIXED MESSAGES

Q: FIRST AND FOREMOST, IS THE 2014 HONDA CRF250 BETTER THAN THE 2013 CRF250? A: That is the $7599 question?because that is what a 2014 Honda CRF250 retails for. To answer the question from a performance point of view, the all-new CRF250 is marginally better than last year’s bike. Though Honda made a laundry list of changes to the CRF250, the updates are more cosmetic than qualitative. While Honda managed to improve the CRF250 in some areas, it got weaker in other areas. You?ll need to ask yourself one p…

MXA TEAM TESTED: UFO SINGLE-EXHAUST CRF250/450 SIDE PANEL

WHAT IS IT?  If you are like most serious 2013??14 Honda CRF450 racers, when the time comes to replace the stock CRF450 dual-exhaust system, you will most likely go for an FMF, DR.D or Pro Circuit single-sided CRF450 exhaust pipe. Why wouldn?t you? They are cheaper, lighter, less prone to crash damage and run better. However, when you switch to a single-sided exhaust, you will have a gaping hole on the left side of your bike where the old muffler went. That is where UFO comes into the picture. WHAT…
