JEREMY MARTIN: FRUSTRATION, STRATEGY & THE FUTURE

Jeremy was sixth at Daytona. In his second full season of professional racing, Jeremy Martin was among the presumed favorites for the 2014 250cc East Supercross Championship. However, the season didn’t start off for Martin like anyone thought it would. After surviving the trials and tribulations he faced during the first three rounds, Jeremy came […]

MOTOCROSS ACTION’S MID-WEEK REPORT BY JOHN BASHER (2/12/14)

MXA‘S PHOTO OF THE WEEK Sunset photo shoots are always a good time. Last week Daryl Ecklund and I snuck out to a secret riding spot in the desert to take photos of the 2014 Husqvarna FC250 four-stroke. We waited until the sun peaked below the faraway mountains, pulled out the strobe flashes, and went […]

MOTOCROSS ACTION’S MID-WEEK REPORT BY JOHN BASHER (8/28/13)

PHOTO (SEQUENCE) OF THE WEEK     As a photographer I don’t ask much from the MXA test riders?they must only risk life and limb to sacrifice themselves for the good of the shot and, in turn, the magazine. Ryan Dungey and mechanic Carlos Rivera have to regroup for 2014. They looked like they had a shot going into Red Bud, but a DNF in moto one in Michigan ended their run. Justin Barcia finished third in the 450 class for 2013. Justin didn’t win any races, but he was consistently on the podium (and that included Lake Elsinore). Josh Gra…

MOTOCROSS ACTION’S MID-WEEK REPORT BY JOHN BASHER (3/20/13)

PHOTO OF THE WEEK: PART 1     Check out this cool back shot that freelance photographer Scott Mallonee took at the Indianapolis Supercross. That’s a lot of dirt being displaced at one time. MINI-VIEW: WESTON PEICK By Jim Kimball     In many minds Weston Peick is about the most passionate man racing AMA Supercross. Although he does get some help along the way, the privateer from Wildomar, California, is largely spending his own money to make it through the 2013 series. Frequ…
