THE YEAR OF JUBILEE EPISODE 1: 50-YEARS LATER, ANOTHER SURGE IN MOTOCROSS
‘The Year of Jubilee’ is a new motocross film series presented by RIDE Motorcycles, produced by Troy Adamitis and Nate Scribner. In the video, Roger Decoster, Ian Harrison (Red Bull KTM Team Manager), Steve Westfall (Rockstar Husqvarna Team Manager), John Hinz (CEO of KTM North America) and more talk about the struggles they went through leading their teams through the Covid-19 pandemic, and they also talk on the major boost in motorcycle sales across the country. It also exposes the passion, dedication and challenges of being an aspiring Pro racing at the top levels of amateur motocross.
What does Jubilee mean? By definition it’s “a special anniversary of an event, especially one celebrating twenty-five or fifty years of a reign or activity.” The year 2021 comes half a century after the release of the iconic motocross movie, On Any Sunday. In 1971, the sport of motocross boomed with new riders who found a passion for two wheels. Now, with Covid-19 changing the paradigm in which we live, more people are turning to motorcycles to be free again.
Producer Troy Adamitis and director Nate Scribner, who have created “The Great Outdoors,” “The Moto: Inside the Outdoors,” “Supercross: Behind the Dream,” “MX Nation” and “MX World,” have partnered with RIDE Motorcycles to bring you an account of American Motocross’ Year of Jubilee.
