THIS WEEK IN MXA #12: BETA & FANTIC BIKES SCORING PODIUMS, 125 TESTING & MORE

Beta Motorcycles and Fantic Motors, two Italian brands that are vastly different from each other, both found success at the Italian Championship last weekend at Mantova. The MXA wrecking crew likes to cover races and talk about the latest news within the industry, but our true passion is testing bikes ourselves and geeking out over the latest motorcycle technology and we’re very interested in the Fantic Racing/Yamaha two-strokes and the new Beta 450 motocross bike. Beta has been around for a long time, but they’ve focused on the off-road market and stayed out of motocross until now. Fantic Motors is a small Italian manufacturer that is working together with Yamaha to develop exotic looking 125 and 250 two-strokes, based off the standard Yamaha models. In this video, we talk touch a little bit on the two Italian brands and talk about their success at the Italian International Championship this past weekend which was used as a pre-season race for the 2021 MXGP season for a group of top riders. Then, we talk about the Star Racing Yamaha team buying Ricky Carmichael’s GOAT farm, head to Pro Circuit and take some 125 two-strokes to the desert for some riding.
