No one doubted that Eli Tomac was going to win the 2020 Daytona Supercross — afterall, he had won it three times before. But since Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac went to Daytona tied on AMA 450 Supercross points, there was always the chance that the German could pull off an upset. Guess what? He couldn’t, but he could lead most of the way, only to make a small mistake in a deep rut that gave Tomac the break he needed to become a four-time Daytona Supercross winner. As for Ken, he said on the podium that he knew that 2020 Daytona Supercross would probably be won by Eli, but that he was happy to have kept it close —and although they aren’t tied anymore, Roczen is only 3 points back.
