While Tyler Bowers raced for Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki during the 2016 Supercross season, he was sidelined for AMA National. After Wil Hahn’s fill-in, Josh Grant pulled-out to get double ankle surgery, Bowers was able to fill in from Red Bud to Washougal. He earned a 450 season highlight of 11th overall (his best was an eighth at Red Bud in 2009). He won’t be able to do Unadilla after sustaining a shoulder/collarbone injury at Glen Helen during practice. It is unknown if he can make the last two races this season. Bowers is without a contract for 2017 and has been looking to gain some ground in the 450 class. Below is the official press release.
