Chad Reed is the veteran. Reed first tested his racing chops in the U.S. at the 1999 San Diego Supercross. He went back to his homeland of Australia to compete (and win) the 250 Australian Supercross Championship in 1999 and 2000. After 2001, Reed officially came to the USA and has been racing here since. Currently Reed has won four AMA championships and still makes the podium on a regular basis. While Reed did not race the 2016 AMA Nationals, he is returning for the 2017 Supercross series and will be racing for factory Yamaha alongside 450 rookie Cooper Webb. Reed hadn’t forgotten Australia, returning in 2007 for a round of the Australian Nationals. He also helped rebuild the Australian Supercross Championship, which he and Cooper Webb will be competing in this year. Almost 20 years later, Reed is not only a record holder, but he can still throw whips and make the podium.
