WHIP-IT WEDNESDAY: JAMES STEWART

There is no denying James Stewart has had a bad year. From a concussion in Supercross to the shoulder injury at Hangtown, Stewart hasn’t been able to complete many events this year. On the bright side, James Stewart has earned enough points to keep his AMA #7 number plate. You need a minimum of 25 points to do so. While his career looks like it’s winding down, James Stewart has rebuilt himself before. We could either see a better James Stewart next year, or a continuation of a decline. Many believe that the sport needs Stewart, but at what cost? There’s something to be said for walking away healthy and with a mantle full of number one plates. James Stewart doesn’t owe us anything.
